Left Lanesboro and made our first stop in La Crosse, Wisconsin on the amazing Mississippi River...
Quite a big city, so we found a place to park the truck and trailer and get out for a walk.  Another hot humid day but nothing like the last few. Great old buildings, beautiful parks, amazing churches.  Spent a couple of hours here and had a great lunch at Fat Sammy's and then on our way again. Some days its hard to get too far when there are so many neat places to stop.

Not that we are shopping for Wedding Cakes, but these looked too good to just walk on by...
And I learned how to do the Box Step.... right on the sidewalk...
Back on the road again, trying to stay off the Interstates and on the byways...for miles and miles and miles all you will see is corn and soya beans, as far as the eye can see...Almost every farm had several acres of lawn around the farm house  that was so neatly mowed, just meticulous....most times it was mowed right up to the corn fields....we saw that time and time again...
Lots of great little towns to stop at, this one was Richland, Wisconsin,  that had a very striking War Memorial...
And also saw the most original location for a Credit Union....this is the inside of the Credit Union....that's the teller between the chips and the pop...
And here is the outside of the building...how clever....
Then back on the road, more corn, more soya beans and off to the Super Walmart in Peru, Illinois...gotta love Walmart
