We enjoyed two nights in a quaint little town called "Lanesboro, Minnesota". It was warm, about 105 degrees and humid as all heck, which made the little bugs stick to you even easier. Luckily it was such a gorgeous place and we met some awesome new friends who showed us the bike path into town, where to get the best food from this great little dining car and also where the best darn pie was...Davison Orchards has nothing on this pie..
The townsite was very "small town USA", cute little shops and lucky for us they all had air-conditioning so it was a welcome break from the heat
They had a great falls area where the local kids go to hang out and keep cool...
And this is the town that has the absolute BEST PIE anywhere, and it's also home to the "Stand Still Parade"....the town is so small that when they have a parade the people in the parade stand in the middle of the street and the townsfolk walk around them...too cute
And the campsite we were in was great, the spots were so large and the grass so green, and at night it would be so loud from the crickets and critters in the bushes, it was amazing to listen to.
And after a great night over drinks with our new friends from the Chicago area, we were on our way again...
