Before we left the area, we spent some time at the "Old Fisherman's Wharf"...watched some people learning to surf....quite entertaining...Looked a little too cold for us...
Walked along the Commercial Pier and checked out the boats...
Checked out the area restaurants along the Wharf..a little too early for lunch so we just enjoyed the views...
Left the ocean and as soon as we headed inland we were back to farmland....strawberries, brussel sprouts and artichokes..
Before long we were back by the ocean, and made a quick stop in "Santa Cruz" but since we are in the "off season" there was not much happening, so our visit was very short...but just long enough for George to make a friend...
Back on the road again, to fog and cold temperatures, and big waves...the sea looked "angry"..
Before too long we were in San Francisco, the streets seemed pretty narrow, but George was not fazed at all by it.
We were wondering if it was safe to be here....maybe we should have watched the news first..
Classic San Francisco style homes...not much room here
But pretty much all the homes we saw had bars on the entry gates...
It was foggy as we started to cross the Golden Gate Bridge...
But by the time we got half way across the bridge it had already started to clear...
We found our campsite, after a few wrong turns.....my fault.....and settled in for the night.
