Just finishing off two great days in Yellowstone National Park.  Saw lots of Buffalo and Elk, but no sign of Yogi or BoBo bear, but will keep our "pic-i-nic" basket packed and ready.

We saw all the major sites here, Old Faithful of course, can't go to Yellowstone without a picture with her...
Then off to Mammoth Hot Springs, one of the World's best examples of travertine-depositing hot springs... a really interesting place to visit and see some really amazing scenery....and you start to get used to the sulfur smell after a while

And any visit to a "tourist destination" would  not be complete without meeting this type of "tourist"....yes, we have all seen them....

Went through some "crazy" road construction, it's hard to tell from the picture, but the jagged rock that was overhanging over the road  looked dangerous to say the least....I white knuckled it the whole way...and I wasn't even driving....
Then off to the most amazing place we visited at Yellowstone .....Yellowstone Canyon ...24 miles of the most amazing and colourful canyons, the 308 foot Lower Falls is twice as tall as Niagara Falls.  We could have spent so much more time there exploring but needed to get back on the road to try to get to Fishing Bridge before the road was closed due to one of the 3 fires in the area..
A view to take your breath away.....and to hold tight onto the railing....

Then of course just had to get a picture of George with a buffalo.....
