And then you would see something like this and know there was something lurking around in the water...
The manatees were everywhere, they gathered in this particular area to drink fresh water that comes in at the Marina ...We were so close to them you could have touched them, but since they are in their natural environment and not in a zoo, we chose not to..but it was tempting..
Look how cute he is...They were also very polite. They would wedge themselves in, drink as much fresh water as they needed ,then very slowly, you would see them turn around and head out and the next ones would slowly position themselves to drink and it went on like that the whole time we were there...all very calm, almost in slow motion...
Then it was into the main area where you could view the various rockets etc.
And these are moon boots....
His mama would be proud...leaving his dirty boots outside and not tracking dirt in..

From here we went on this crazy simulated launch....They say it is the closest thing to being able to feel what it is like to be launched into orbit at 17,500 mph....freaky
And this is George moving the 9 ton granite Constellation Sphere which is floating on water
And me seeing how it would feel to be confined in one of these things....Way too cramped for me, no thanks
And the best was yet to come...at 4:00 a.m......
