We enjoyed our first day in Santa Fe...What a charming city. We had intended on visiting some of the National Monuments in the area but with the "US Government Shutdown", they were all closed. So we decided to make the most of the situation and the time that we have here, and instead visited the  "Puye Cliff Dwellings".  We took a one hour tour and learned about the people of Santa Clara Pueblo and got a close up look of the caves.

And a real close up look....
We enjoyed the view of the area from the cliff dwellings...

We are beginning to see a glimpse of fall colour...
One thing we noticed since we arrived in New Mexico is that the overpasses are almost "works of art"...

We spent the afternoon in Downtown Santa Fe....

And early in our travels, we came across these guys....Mexican Hairless Dogs....they felt like Pot Belly Pigs, and they had tufts of hair on their heads and tails, that was it.......

We spent several hours enjoying the sites and sounds of Santa Fe...

And of course beautiful churches...

And in the hustle and bustle of life...I think this is something we should all do....
What a beautiful time of year, blue skies, sunshine, crisp air in the morning, followed by a warm sunny afternoon...What an amazing feeling...Top that off with a great Mexican dinner and a very tasty "Margarita on the Rocks"....ah...this is the life...Love this place...
