But before too long, after a very expensive "breakfast burrito and coffee", things started to happen. First they send up about 15 balloons to test the "air"...
Once it is determined that the wind is "ok", things start going crazy....
Within a very short time the ground was filled with balloons being rolled out, others being filled, others ready to take off, yet more taking off and the sky was already filled with balloons already in the air......It was incredible...the most amazing thing I have seen...
It was pretty neat to get amongst the balloons to see and hear it all..and it was a whole lot warmer there...
There were so many balloons it was hard to know where to "point and shoot" the camera...
There were lots of "shaped" balloons, some were amazing how large they were. This one was inflated but never actually left the ground..."GOT MILK??"
Snow White made it off the ground, but not very far...Never did see the seven dwarfs though...maybe they were lost in the vast sea of balloons...
And of course, no event would be complete without this....
I had so much fun...
But as big and fancy as the balloons can get...This was still my favourite....because if you have "sunshine and happiness"...you will always have everything you need...
George said he was happy if I was happy.....he was still shaking his head at waking up at 3:30 a.m....but I caught him in "awe" catching images with his iphone...
When the horses came on the scene....he was gone...
Well it was a great morning, all over by 8:30 am, so we dragged our weary bodies off to "Old Town Albuquerque"... by 10:00 there was music happening in the square...
Lots of shopping and places to relax...
We didn't stay long....weary from the morning, we went out looking at RV's....and found our dream RV....http://www.goevergreenrv.com/page/174/Bay-Hill
All we needed was a cold beer and we were set...
