So back over the crazy bridge one more time..
We were enjoying the sunny skies, but had not been on the road more than an hour when this happened...luckily it was only for a short time and we could see blue skies emerging again.
We drove from Sarasota to Carrabelle Florida, only about 300 miles, but pretty good for us these days. A very uneventful drive, straight roads, really nothing interesting to see, except a herd of feral pigs...They were too quick for me to get a picture, but this is what they looked like...

Well actually that was dinner, or what they may have looked like if they played "chicken" with the truck, but this is what they actually looked like.
We arrived at another great campsite through Passport America. The area is very popular for fishing, and were told that this area is a "Drinking Village with a Fishing Problem!!!"
We enjoyed a glass of wine on the Lookout Tower in the campsite...They built three of the towers so that you could have an unobstructed view of the area, great idea.
The campsite also had a marina, which George always has to check out.....
The houses here are all built tall and narrow to take advantage of the view..
The area and it's nearby "Dog Island" and "St. George Island" were used for preparing for the landing at Normandy in WWII.
There are typically not many alligators here as the water is "brackish", which is a mixture of salt and fresh water, which they are not fond of.
We enjoyed an evening of stargazing and enjoyed an awesome view of the Milky Way, which we haven't seen in ages. Along with great stargazing, we also enjoyed a much cooler evening, first time we hadn't needed air conditioning in almost a month...
